What if Conferences Came with a Carbon Label?

Would knowing the carbon impact of attending a meeting influence how you choose to participate?

We have become used to consumer labels helping us choose everything from food to appliances. Could a carbon label influence how individuals choose to participate in an event? Or improve transparency about carbon impacts and efforts by organizers to reduce them?

The following examples conceptualize what such a label might look like based on data that is possible to acquire for in-person and virtual conference events.

How would you improve it? What would you like to see?

Concepts are creative works for discussion. Data is based on a multi-day international conference event.
